Right now: this website collects only the email address you choose to give for the invite waitlist or an inquiry. The Oryn app described below is not open to the public yet, and this page will be updated before it is.
These terms apply when you visit oryn.date, join the waitlist or use an Oryn account. Oryn is a private alpha: features may change, pause or end.
Who can use Oryn
You must be 18 or older. Membership is by invitation and review, and we can decline, pause or end any membership, including to keep the community safe. A waitlist request is not a membership and does not guarantee an invitation.
Your account
Your Oryn account is separate from your Veyra account. Keep your sign-in secure and give only true information. Oryn is for you alone; do not let anyone else use your account.
How Oryn works
We offer a small number of introductions. Members you are introduced to can see your profile card (photos, written answers, name and interests). Chat opens only when both people choose Connect. Either person can unmatch, block or report at any time. Introductions are suggestions, not a promise of any result.
How you agree to behave
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate, threats, sexual pressure, or content involving anyone under 18.
- Do not impersonate anyone, misrepresent yourself, scam or solicit money or other services, or use Oryn for commercial promotion.
- Only upload photos of yourself that you are entitled to share. No nudity or explicit content.
- Do not scrape, probe or disrupt the service, or try to access other members’ data.
- Do not share another member’s profile, photos or messages outside Oryn without their consent.
Safety and enforcement
We may review reports, remove content, suspend or end accounts and, where required or needed to protect someone, share information with the appropriate authorities. Oryn does not verify members’ identities or intentions, so use judgement, especially before meeting anyone, and meet in public places.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you provide. You give us permission to store it and show it as described in the Privacy Policy, only so that we can run Oryn for you. You are responsible for what you post.
The service
Oryn is provided “as is” during the alpha, without promises of availability or accuracy. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for the conduct of members. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.
Ending your use
You can stop dating or delete your Oryn account at any time in the app. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or the alpha ends.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date above. Continuing to use Oryn after an update means you accept it; members will be told in the app before material changes apply.
